Christina Kruse and Anton Ginzburg will exhibit their recent works at the group exhibition Seaman’s House, curated by Helen Allen.
Seaman’s House, curated by Helen Allen, features nine New York-based artists who hail from around the globe. The exhibition highlights how these artists thoughtfully reflect upon their own cultural and literary heritage (American, British, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Swiss) and reinterpret the artistic cultural canon. Each of the works presented explore formal and art historical narratives from various cultural perspectives.
Utilising the space of a Greek-Revival townhouse, the show is set in an alternative context that allows visitors to view the works whilst also exploring the unique setting and architecture of the building. Ginzburg's Novostroi series, a body of works that he embarked on in 2013, are on show, alongside some of Kruse's earlier sculptural works.
